University of Indianapolis Graduate Assistant

POSITION: GRADUATE ASSISTANT for WRESTLING
This position is responsible for assisting the head coach with everyday activities, which is consistent with the rules and policies of the University of Indianapolis, NCAA and Great Lakes Valley Conference.

DUTIES/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Assist with day to day operations
• Assist in coaching athletes during competition
• Assist in organizing practices, individual and group instruction
• Responsible for on-campus aspects of recruiting
• Create mailings for prospective student athletes
• Assist with UIndy Wrestling Summer Camp sessions and Regional
Training Center clinics
• Responsible for organizing coaches and players ticket requests
• Coordinate team related study table hours
• Assist with arrangements for team during school breaks (i.e. holiday meals and housing, per diems)
• Coordinate and oversee team travel
• Other duties assigned by the Head Coach

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree/admission to graduate school at UIndy
• Previous wrestling or coaching experience is preferred.
