General Statement of Duties: The Assistant Wrestling Coach will assist the Head Wrestling Coach in all aspects of the program. This is a part-time professional 12 month contractual position:

Supervision Received: Reports to the Head Wrestling Coach regarding wrestling issues.

Supervision Provided: None

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with identification, evaluation and recruitment of student athletes

Application and exemplification of Christian leadership

A commitment to Bacone's mission of including and serving the American Indian community.

Assist in pre-season, in-season, post-season training, practice and competition, with specific duties for head coach of the Junior Varsity team within the team environment, assist in all areas related to the operation of the wrestling program

A commitment to be responsible for adhering to all rules and regulations of Bacone College, Red River Athletic Conference and NAIA

Work compatibly and cooperatively with staff and personnel in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics

Assist with the development of appropriate public relations and promotional activities as necessary

Assist with sports camps

Other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities: Proven ability to identify, select, recruit and develop highly-skilled athletes at the NAIA Championship level. Experence in Christian service / ministry, personal relation skills in dealing with student-athletes, peers, and the general public; computer abilities and video editing skills.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and playing experience at the collegiate level required.
