Glenwood Middle School Head Coach: Central Illinois

Glenwood Middle School is looking for head Wrestling coach (paid stipends) for the 2014-2015 season at the high school and/or middle school. Glenwood Wrestling has a large tradition of excellence at both the middle school and high school levels. GMS feeds into Glenwood High School which finished in the elite 8 four years ago and has won the regional and conference championship 4 out of the last 6 years including this past 2015 season.

The Ball-Chatham school district consistently ranks among the top schools for academics and athletics in Illinois and is a great community to teach, coach, and raise a family. Our program is trying to get a permanent coach in the community for program stability. GMS has a great support system for their coaches.

Glenwood also hosts Redhawk Wrestling Academy (www.ascensionwrestling.com) that works closely with district and area wrestlers as a successful offseason training tool for our youth club, middle school, and high school programs. This program also is aided by NCAA wrestlers and coaches throughout the spring and summer. We have a strong feeder program Chatham Wrestling Club for K-5th grades with 60-80 wrestlers annually. Club and RWA stipends available also.

Glenwood High School is located in Chatham, Illinois which is 90 minutes north of St. Louis. Our high school enrollment is 1355 while our middle school enrollment is 654.

The Ball-Chatham School District currently has vacancies on our website. Online applications must be fully completed to be considered a candidate. www.chathamschools.org.
