Graduate Assistant Coach

Hastings College (NAIA), a four-year Liberal Arts institution, located in Hastings, NE, and proud member of the Great Plains Athletic Conference, invites applications for a Graduate Assistant for men�s wrestling. This part time position will assist the Head Wrestling Coach with day to day operations from approximately August 15, 2015� May 31, 2016. The successful candidate must have completed an undergraduate degree and must be admitted to the graduate program. Position includes a tuition waiver and stipend.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, administrative office duties including but
not limited to recruiting academically and athletically qualified student athletes, practice and
tournament preparation, organizing and implementing community service projects, and the daily
administrative duties associated with the graduate assistant coach's position. Assist with coordination
of all travel plans with the Head Coach. Be a positive role model for athletes and monitor discipline
procedures within your sport. Encourage and monitor attendance and classroom performance for
classes by your athletes, as directed by the head coach. Assist to update the annual inventory.
Conduct yourself in a professional manner and display good sportsmanship at all times. Fulfill all
obligations, as established by College. Special consideration will go to middle and lighter weight coaches with an ability and comfort to work with marketing, social media, technology, and independent hard workers.
