The York, Maine School Department seeks an exceptional educational leader to serve as the next Principal of York High School. He/she will have a record of past accomplishments as an innovative and student�centered leader; strong building�level administrative experience, preferably in a similar, high performing district; and have demonstrated the following:

The ability to enhance a tradition of academic and extracurricular excellence;
� A well�developed understanding of teaching and learning in a proficiency�based model; � Sustenance of a caring and supportive school climate;
� Effective interpersonal skills and clear communication;
� Successful shared leadership, team building, and collaboration skills;
� Ability to creatively problem solve;
� Sense of humor; and
� Hold a valid Maine Secondary School Principal Certificate.
